Eider II est l'un des rares Maïca qui soit "à tableau", la plupart des Maïca étant "à voûte".
Il a été construit pour la course par le chantier Bertin à Carqueiranne et termina second de la Giraglia l'année de sa mise à l'eau (1963). En 1964, il remportait l'épreuve...
Eider II est actuellement en cours de restauration dans le Morbihan.
